IADA's Vision & Mission
Vision - To create a social environment which condemns substance abuse.
IADA is the central institution in the country responsible for mobilizing all government organizations and public authorities to collaborate and work together in the battle against alcohol and drugs.
IADA's activities are geared to the entire population, with particular focus on younger subgroups such as children, youth and soldiers in the IDF.
IADA promotes prevention programs, and allocates resources to allow special emphasis on high-risk populations.
IADA is Israel's major information and research center in the field of drugs.
IADA assists government ministries, public and private institutions in the operation of treatment centers for victims of drug abuse.
IADA encourages activities to improve law enforcement efforts to diminish drug supply in the country and increase deterrence.
IADA strives to expand the number of skilled and qualified professionals in the field by offering training to staff in areas of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, and law enforcement, and training to volunteer workers.
