Cooperation with International Organizations
As part of its global efforts to combat the plague of drugs, IADA works in close cooperation with several leading international organizations.

UNODC - Israel is a part of the CND - Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the central policy-making body of the United Nations in drug related matters, and is currently serving its second consecutive term as an elected member state.
HONLEA - Israel takes part in the UN's tri-annual meetings of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies, Europe.

INCB - Israel is a signatory to three international conventions concerning drugs: "The Narcotic Drugs Convention, 1961"' "A Convention on Psychotropic Substances, 1971"; and the "United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, 1988".

 |
WHO - Since IADA was charged with the mandate for the war on alcohol abuse, it has become an active participant in WHO conferences and activities.
|
 |
European Union - Israel is part of the EU's European Neighborhood Policy, and has signed a bi-lateral agreement (Action Plan) for cooperation in areas including the war on drugs.
